Nikol and Nikolism Will Erase Our Statehood's Last Traces for a Long Time: Naira Zohrabyan

My point is very simple — until each of us understands that the savior who will free us from Nikol and the anti-hygienic sect that has ever flourished in Armenia, namely Nikolism, is each and every one of us, and does not wait for other saviors, Nikol and Nikolism will erase the last traces of our statehood for a long time.

This was stated by Gagik Tsarukyan's MP Naira Zohrabyan on her Facebook page.

“Where was Nikol right? I am more than confident that the surrender of Artsakh was a prearranged defeat. I am more than sure that there are tens of thousands of Armenians thinking like me. So, why is it still not possible to remove from power the one who surrendered Artsakh and his mediocre political team, and to hold them accountable in court? It’s very simple. Because each of us is waiting for someone else, who should save us from Nikol, someone who is outside of us.”

“We expected that it would be some neutral party like soft Switzerland, always going nowhere, that would come to our aid. This is reminiscent of Goncharov’s famous character, the indolent Oblomov. Armen Sarkissian will do nothing. Because Armen Sarkissian is comfortable being somewhere in the prettiest bar in London, chatting with Eliot, Pound, and Cohen, which he certainly understands, unlike the intellectually impoverished masses of this government. Armen Sarkissian will not save Armenia and what is left of Artsakh. Never. He will always be Switzerland — neutral, soft, and delicate.”

“Then we gave ourselves hope that the one to save Armenia would be Onik Gasparyan, and the glorification of Onik Gasparyan began on the platform. This is the same Onik Gasparyan who, on the fourth day of the war, told Nikol that we are losing, but remained silent for the next 40 days and executed the orders of those who handed Shushi to the Turks. And so, every day we will be searching for a savior, whom we will glorify and hold our breath, waiting for that savior to liberate us from Nikol and the Nikolist sect.”

“But Nikol did not wait for saviors. He decided, he believed, that the savior was himself, went and took power, handed over Artsakh, and is now destroying the statehood of Armenia. My point is very simple — until each of us understands that the savior who will free us from Nikol and the anti-hygienic sect that has ever flourished in Armenia, namely Nikolism, is each and every one of us, and does not wait for other saviors, Nikol and Nikolism will erase the last traces of our statehood for a long time.”
