In Syunik Province, Neither Flags Nor Signs Should Be Present on Roads or Near Villages: Human Rights Defender
In order to guarantee the rights of the residents of Syunik Province, neither flags nor signs should be present on roads or in the immediate vicinity of villages.
This was stated by Armenia's Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan in a Facebook post. He questioned, "Is it the President of Azerbaijan who is commanding armed troops located near the roads that connect the communities of Syunik Province or the villages? Are they the ones firing near the villages of Syunik? Isn’t it the President of Azerbaijan who says that their 'strategic and political goal is to return to Zangezur, Yerevan, and Sevan' and speaks with expressions of insult and hatred about the entire population of Armenia and Artsakh? (In this video, I have quoted only a part of their utterances: ‘jackals, wild monsters, brainless,’ etc.). These are the same words used by Azerbaijani soldiers while torturing and killing Armenian military personnel and civilians (evidence can be found in the attached video).
All of this further substantiates that, for the purpose of guaranteeing the rights of residents in Syunik Province, neither flags nor signs should be present on the roads or in the immediate vicinity of villages.
