Police Detain Thieves 'Leninkanzi Zap' and 'Shahumyanzi Jiro' Along with Over 10 Criminal Figures

On March 4, police officers from the Vagharshapat division's criminal investigation and community policing departments conducted an operation in the city of Echmiadzin targeting criminal subcultures and disarming organized crime members.

Photographer Gagik Shamshyan reports from the scene that within minutes, Vagharshapat police detained a total of 15 individuals from a known location called 'Forest Sounds' in Echmiadzin. According to Shamshyan, two of those detained are prominent criminals known as 'Leninkanzi Zap' and 'Shahumyanzi Jiro.' The rest are associates of the criminal subculture.

The detained individuals were in vehicles including a Lexus with Russian license plates, a Toyota Land Cruiser, a Porsche Panamera, and a BMW, all of which have been taken to the secured premises of the Vagharshapat police department.
