On March 7, the Tallest Tricolor Flag in Armenia Will Be Raised in Shurnukh
On March 7, a solemn ceremony will be held in Shurnukh to raise a 30-meter-high Armenian tricolor flag. This flag will be the tallest in Armenia, previously established in Kapan, and now in Shurnukh. This was announced by the Goris municipality.
“In border communities, we will continue to create, regardless of everything, as we are obliged to protect our home, our culture, our values, and our faith.
Dear residents of the Goris community, with the initiative of Goris community leader Arush Arushanyan, the 30-meter-high Armenian tricolor flag will be raised in Shurnukh on March 7. The first and tallest flag in Armenia was installed in Kapan and is now moving to Shurnukh.
There will also be a barbecue, and cultural events will take place in the community, with all settlements presenting traditional dishes. The event will begin at 2:00 PM.
On March 7, starting from 10:00 AM, free minibus services will operate from Goris G. Tatevatsi Square to Shurnukh, and at the end of the events, they will return to the Goris community. This initiative will continue for all border communities in the area.
Our enemies just a few meters away from Shurnukh should constantly feel that we stand united and collectively not only alongside the residents of our border communities but also that we will continue to beautify our communities,” the statement read.
