New Sanctions to Be Imposed: MPs Head to Tsaghkadzor to Discuss New Bill
The members of the National Assembly's permanent commission on state and legal issues have decided to spend the weekend in Tsaghkadzor. They will be discussing a new draft of the Criminal Procedure Code. This information was shared with Factor.am by MP Nikolay Baghdasaryan from the 'My Step' faction.
'There will be a new code, new sanctions, and new institutions. The new code provides for new concepts related to fines, temporary detention, and imprisonment. Some sanctions will be removed,' said Baghdasaryan, noting that the bill has already been approved in the first reading by the National Assembly.
Baghdasaryan added that the expenses for the discussions will be covered by an international organization.
