Russia's Stance on Events in Armenia

Russia believes that the situation in Armenia is an internal matter for the country and that no other stance can be taken. It is notable that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation during which they discussed the prevailing situation in Armenia.

"The situation in Armenia has been discussed... Putin expressed support for maintaining order and calm in Armenia and for resolving the situation within the framework of the law," the statement reads. The Russian President also called on all parties to exercise restraint.
