Everything Will Be Crushed on Onik Gasparyan's Head: Aram Sargsyan

The president of the "Republic" party, Aram Sargsyan, stated today on "24 TV" that the controversial statement made by the Armed Forces was described by the authorities as an "attempted coup" and is a consequence of the current political situation.

"There have been political issues that political figures have not resolved, and this unresolved issue has been brought to the military. Either they have been pushed into it or have been forced to enter it," Sargsyan said.

According to the politician, everything will eventually be crushed on the head of the military, Onik Gasparyan. He will not remain, regardless of who holds power. Justifying his statement, Sargsyan said: "On March 1, 2008, the one who ordered the troops to enter the city said that he had nothing to do with it. It was done by Mikhael Harutyunyan (former Armenian Minister of Defense, defendant in the March 1 criminal case). I believe that in a week, those on that platform or those backing them will say the same about Onik Gasparyan. Tomorrow, everything will be crushed on the heads of the military."
