Azerbaijan Appeals to the UN and Demands Landmine Maps from Armenia
Official Baku announced today that Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov sent a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on February 22, lodging a complaint regarding Armenia's failure to transfer maps of landmine-infested areas to Azerbaijan after the end of the war.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reports that since the end of the conflict, 15 people have died, including 9 civilians, from landmine explosions in areas that came under Baku's control, and 65 others have been injured, including 8 civilians.
