Sosi Khanikyan, Lyricist of 'Artsakh' Song, Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Baghramyan Avenue
Yesterday, Sosi Khanikyan, the lyricist of several songs, including the popular 'Artsakh' by Sevak Khanaghyan, passed away due to a pedestrian accident on Baghramyan Avenue.
Only 35 years old, Sosi was reported to have suffered fatal injuries in the incident that took place on March 1, as detailed by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan. Around 20:20, Tigran Boshalyan, a 31-year-old resident of Yerevan, struck a female pedestrian with his 'Mercedes T400' car (license plate 11 SS 071) near the former Kamo School on Baghramyan Avenue.
The driver did not flee the scene; he called for an ambulance through Yerevan’s emergency services and assisted the medical team in transporting the injured individual to the Armenia Medical Center. However, unfortunately, Sosi's life could not be saved.
