Nikol Pashinyan stated that he learned about the capture of Shushi from Araik Harutyunyan
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: Over the weekend, Nikol Pashinyan discussed the domestic political situation and organizational issues of yesterday's rally with his allies in a 24-hour format. During a meeting with the My Step faction on Sunday, although there were many criticisms, some lawmakers indirectly blamed Pashinyan, saying that the worsening situation was a result of his decision to paralyze early elections, and expressed the opinion that they should go for early elections at all costs.
Another group assured Pashinyan that nothing had happened and that there was no need to make concessions. They claimed they would silence the opposition with the number of people at the rally, promising to bring 30,000 to 50,000 people to the square. The leaders of these radicals included Hayk Sargsyan, Andranik Kocharyan, Ruben Rubinyan, and Arpi Davoyan.
On his part, Nikol Pashinyan did not shy away from saying that the General Staff had not correctly reported the situation during the war, asserting that he learned about the capture of Shushi from Araik Harutyunyan.
When asked about the reasons behind Onik Gasparyan's "unexpected" resignation, Pashinyan stated that the reason was the announcement regarding the "Iskander" missile system. The Chief of the General Staff had warned him not to speak at all about the "Iskander," but he said, "I am being accused of betrayal and of not using the 'Iskander,' how can I remain silent?" Meanwhile, our military sources state that after the uproar caused by the statement about the "Iskander" not exploding by 10 percent, Pashinyan ordered the General Staff to issue a statement justifying him, but Onik Gasparyan refused. After that, Pashinyan instructed him to write a resignation letter, which was followed by the General Staff's announcement.
