Aliyev Uses Armenia's Government's Dangerous Statement on Iskander, Says Tigran Abrahamyan
The head of the 'Henaket' analytical center and former advisor on security issues to the President of Artsakh, Tigran Abrahamyan, made a post on his Facebook page discussing the dangerous statement by the Armenian government regarding the Iskander and the messages sent by the President of Azerbaijan to the Russian side.
The post reads:
“Ilham Aliyev, in his recent press briefing, utilized the dangerous statement by the Armenian government concerning the Iskander and conveyed certain messages to the Russian side. One of these was, perhaps, that while Aliyev praised the complex, he also expressed his displeasure regarding the military assistance provided to Armenia by Russia and eventually mentioned that they would be replenishing their arsenal in the near future.
The main aim of expressing dissatisfaction and employing threats is the expectation of receiving relatively cheap weaponry from Russia, and why not, applying certain pressures regarding military technology sold to Armenia. Unfortunately, Azerbaijan has long-term leverage in the game of blackmail, which is promoted not only by the realities created by the war but also by the dangerous behavior of the Armenian authorities in the post-war period.”
