Investigation into Knife Attack by 18-Year-Old Vanadzor Resident Concluded
As a result of the investigative and procedural actions carried out by the Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, the circumstances of the case in which an 18-year-old resident of Vanadzor caused serious bodily harm to a fellow citizen have been clarified. This was reported by the Investigative Committee.
According to the evidence obtained during the investigation, on October 1, 2020, at 16:00, near the post office located next to the "Football Academy" in Vanadzor, during a dispute over previously existing disagreements between a minor relative and a fellow citizen, the 18-year-old, using a knife he had previously taken with him, intentionally struck the fellow citizen three times on the back area of the chest, causing life-threatening serious injuries to his health.
With the combination of sufficient evidence obtained, the 18-year-old resident of Vanadzor has been charged under Part 1 of Article 112 of the RA Criminal Code for intentionally causing serious harm to health. A signature not to leave the jurisdiction has been applied as a precautionary measure against him.
The investigation has been completed, and the criminal case has been sent to the prosecutor conducting the procedural management with an accusatory conclusion.
