Due to Heavy Snowstorm, Roads Closed in Armenia

The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia has reported that as of February 23 at 17:00, due to heavy snowfall, the M-2 highway, from the Hargis intersection to the Shinhayr intersection on the Sisian-Goris road, is closed for all types of vehicles in both directions.

In the area known as "Zanger" near Sisian, there are snowstorms on the Spandaryan-Sisian road, as well as on the road section from Sevan Island to the Dilijan tunnel.

There is black ice on various segments of the roads in the Kapan region, including the Goris-Sisian, Goris-Shurnukh, and Vanadzor-Dilijan roads.

The Ttujur-Navur road is closed to all types of vehicles. Other interstate and national roads remain open.

Road construction crews are engaged in clearing and salting the roads for safer passage.
