Time is Short for Armen Sarkissian Too – Gegham Manukyan

Participants of the "Homeland Salvation Movement," having marched to the presidential residence at Baghramyan 26, addressed Armenian President Armen Sarkissian.

"We appeal to the President of the Republic of Armenia. The same president who, just a few days after the end of the war and following public protests, officially joined the people's movement, demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister and the government... Our demand is that the President of the Republic of Armenia be the bearer of that official demand, and for that, he has two actions to take: firstly, to continue the demand by not ratifying any document sent to the presidential palace for approval by the one occupying the Prime Minister's chair. He has that right because he is not Nikol Pashinyan's president; he is the President of the Republic of Armenia. He is the head and protector of the Constitution. Secondly, he must quickly take actions to protect our rights as citizens, to uphold the law, and to make his announced resignation of Nikol and the government a reality, and to establish a temporary government. Time is short for Armen Sarkissian as well, for Baghramyan 26, because Armen Sarkissian is the guarantor of the Constitution, which is being trampled on today," stated Gegham Manukyan, one of the organizers of the "Homeland Salvation Movement," during his speech.
