Iran and Azerbaijan to Continue Construction of Hydroelectric Plants on Araks River
The governments of Iran and Azerbaijan have confirmed the continuation of construction works for the "Ghaz Qalasi" and "Khudafarin" hydroelectric plants on the Araks River.
According to Azerbaijani media reports, this announcement was made during a meeting held in the city of Tabriz, located in Iran's East Azerbaijan province. The construction of the hydroelectric power plants, situated between Iran's provinces and the Jabrayil region of Nagorno-Karabakh, is one of the main projects being carried out by Iran's Ministry of Energy.
