In Artsakh, 818 Boys and 796 Girls Born in 2020
During 2020, healthcare facilities in Artsakh reported the birth of 1,614 children, comprising 818 boys and 796 girls. In the city of Stepanakert alone, 1,389 children were born, with 699 boys and 690 girls.
Throughout the year, there were 23 recorded births of twins in Artsakh. Notably, nine children were born through artificial insemination, which included seven boys and two girls. Furthermore, in healthcare facilities of the Republic of Armenia, 182 children were born, and two Artsakh children were born in Russia.
As a result, the total birth rate in Artsakh for 2020 was 1,798 children, consisting of 923 boys and 875 girls.
