34-Year-Old Resident Murdered in Odzun Village, Criminal Case Initiated
At 19:50 on February 20, 2021, a report was received by the Tumanyan division of the RA Police from the Alaverdi Medical Center regarding the transfer of the body of a 34-year-old resident of Odzun village in the Lori region. This information was shared by the RA Investigative Committee.
A criminal case has been initiated at the Lori regional investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee under Article 104, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (murder).
The pre-investigation revealed that around 19:00 on February 20, 2021, in a public area near the 4th street of Odzun village, an individual committed an apparent crime by intentionally depriving a 34-year-old resident of his life using gunfire.
An investigation of the crime scene has uncovered blood-like traces and a hat. An external examination of the body has revealed multiple gunshot wounds to the head and abdominal areas. The clothing of the deceased has been confiscated, and samples have been taken. Several witnesses have been interrogated.
Judicial medical, complex forensic, forensic trace, and biological expert examinations have been appointed. An instruction has been given to the investigative body to establish the identity of the person who committed the apparent crime and the circumstances of the incident. The pre-investigation continues.
