Which Regions Are Experiencing Snow at the Moment

The Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure’s Road Department reports that as of February 19 at 17:00, it is currently snowing in the regions of Ani, Ashotsk, Sisian, Goris, and Gavar.

The Dilijan twists are closed to vehicles with trailers. The Vardenyats Pass is closed to vehicles with trailers, while other vehicles can only pass with difficulty.

Due to heavy snowfall, the Ttujur-Navur road is closed to all types of vehicles. There are patches of black ice on the roads in the regions of Goris, Kapan, and Gavar, as well as in the Keti and Jajur passes, and on the Vanadzor-Dilijan, Vanadzor-Alaverdi, Aparan-Kuchak, and Horom-Artik-Alagyaz roads.

Other interstate and national roads are open. Road construction crews are carrying out snow removal and treatments with salt and sand on the roads.

To avoid accidents, incidents, and traffic jams, drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
