Turkish and Azerbaijani Citizens Can Now Visit Each Other Without Passports
The movement of citizens between Azerbaijan and Turkey is being facilitated, allowing them to make visits using identification (ID) cards, reports Ermenihaber.
On February 18, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed the bill ratifying protocol No. 1, which aims to amend the 2020 agreement on the liberalization of mutual entry between Turkey and Azerbaijan, signed on February 25.
According to this, Turkish and Azerbaijani citizens now have the opportunity to visit each other using their ID cards.
Previously, the Azerbaijani parliament had adopted legislation related to this matter. A protocol was signed between Azerbaijan and Turkey on December 10, 2020.
