Toyota Alphard and KamAZ Collide in Vayots Dzor Region, Injuries Reported

On February 18, a traffic accident occurred in the Vayots Dzor region. Around 1:15 PM, on the 156.5 km section of the Yerevan-Meghri highway, a collision took place between a KamAZ truck driven by 40-year-old Roman Makaryan from Kajaran and a Toyota Alphard vehicle driven by 47-year-old Armen Barselyan from Yerevan.

According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, the driver of the Toyota and his passengers, 21-year-old Tzogik Grigoryan and 34-year-old Anush Adamyan, both residents of the Republic of Artsakh, sustained bodily injuries and were transported to the Vayk Medical Center.

Emergency services promptly arrived at the scene, including a firefighting and rescue squad from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, equipped with one firefighting unit. The rescuers disconnected the vehicles and cordoned off the area.

Personnel from the 1st platoon of the 6th battalion of the 2nd division of the traffic police also arrived quickly, led by battalion commander Gegham Margaryan and platoon commander Karen Ohanyan. The investigative work at the scene was directed by senior investigator Hamlet Sirekanian from the same battalion, who is preparing materials regarding the incident.
