Timeframe for the Expulsion of Russian Diplomat from Estonia Revealed
A Russian diplomat, who has been declared persona non grata by the Estonian government, has been ordered to leave the country within a week. This was reported to RIA Novosti by a diplomatic source.
"The timeframe given is not short—one or two days—but rather longer, one week," the agency's source explained, adding that an Estonian diplomatic employee, who is being expelled from Russia in a reciprocal measure, has also been granted a week to leave.
Earlier, on February 18, it became known that Russia is expelling an employee of the Estonian embassy in Moscow. The Estonian ambassador, Margus Laidre, was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry and was delivered a "decisive protest" regarding the expulsion of the Russian embassy employee. This was a proportional response from the Estonian government.
