Who Is Forcing Participation in the Rally? "Hraparak"
«Yesterday, the police issued a statement regarding information that some employers are forcing their employees to participate in rallies, which is unacceptable. We tried to clarify with former Republican MP and owner of the "Kilikia" brewery, Hakob Hakobyan, whether he is also pressuring or encouraging his employees to attend the protests demanding Nikol Pashinyan's resignation.
Hakobyan seemed offended by the question. "Have I ever told anyone anything during all this time?" he said. "These days, people act as they want and think, and ultimately, that’s correct." When asked if his employees are participating without pressure, he responded, "What do you think? When the production line is working, can anyone stay behind while the others go? Everyone is performing their function. I have never had and do not have idle workers. If one worker is absent, the production line will not function."
They can turn off the production line and go to the rally, as they did on the 18th. "In that case, when there’s no beer in the stores, won’t you write that there’s no beer?" he joked, emphasizing that his "thesis" has always been for them to make choices based on their own intellect, not on someone else's directive.
