New Settlement to Be Built for Displaced Population in Artsakh

Construction work has begun on a new settlement located between the villages of Astghashen and Patara in the Askeran region of Artsakh. This was reported by Marta Danielyan, the press secretary of the Artsakh Ministry of Urban Development, in a conversation with Armenpress.

"The new settlement, intended for our citizens displaced from the villages of Askeran, Jrakhatzner, Moshkhamat, Madatashen, and Sghnakhs, will have a total area of over 644,000 square meters. The first of the planned 116 houses will be ready within the next few months. The construction of the settlement is expected to be fully completed by December 2022. The houses, which are based on the design of the Agavnono in Kashatagh, will consist of 2-4 rooms. Each house will be allocated 1,500 square meters of land. A market will also be built adjacent to the main road," Danielyan detailed.
