VIDEO: Martakert Residents Block Azerbaijani Truck Convoy from Reaching Karvachar
Martakert residents did not allow an Azerbaijani convoy of trucks to proceed to Karvachar, as reported by Facebook user Apres Beklaryan, who also shared a photo and video of the incident.
“So, it has been two days since this convoy of Azerbaijani trucks has been coming from Aknal (Agdam) and heading towards Karvachar, which they think is theirs. Today, the residents of Martakert stopped them and said that they should also open the road to Karvachar for us to be able to travel to Yerevan; however, the Azerbaijanis did not agree. Our people responded, ‘what’s up with that?’ and blocked their way, preventing them from going to Karvachar,” the post stated.
The image shows the Turkish trucks that have been stranded for several hours, while the video captures them turning back and returning to Aknal (Agdam) after being unable to use the route. It should be noted that they were only about 10-15 km away from the vicinity of Madaghis, from where they would have entered their territory.
“P.S. It’s unlikely that they could have come this far without our people’s approval for such a free passage to Karvachar, but as I understand, Aliyev is not going to reward anyone here—this is a fact. P.P.S. And this also proves that we are not a defeated, weak, and cowardly nation. Also, some officials should refrain from saying that everything is fine in Artsakh and that the people of Artsakh are safe and secure,” he added.
