In Reality, Serzh Sargsyan Sent Karen Karapetyan to Solitary Confinement to Discuss Several Options: Arayik Harutyunyan
Arayik Harutyunyan, the chief advisor to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, made a post on Facebook in response to an interview with Armenia's third president, Serzh Sargsyan.
“Will I stay a bit longer... Serzh Sargsyan says he called Karen Karapetyan and told him he had made a decision to resign, here is the text, and this is the only right path. I told Karen to go to solitary confinement and inform him about this. In reality, on April 23, he had sent Karen to solitary confinement to discuss several options:
- Will I stay until autumn—for the Francophonie? Naturally, this was rejected.
- Will I go on April 25? Naturally, this was rejected.
He left under pressure—right now, at this moment. And the whole team knows this, Karen Karapetyan knows it, but he is lying and lying. Wouldn't it have been better to remain silent?” wrote Arayik Harutyunyan.
