Azerbaijan Has the Number of Armenian Prisoners and Missing Persons, Says Zohrabyan

The President of the Chamber of Advocates Ara Zohrabyan addressed the issue of captured and missing persons during a press conference, deeming it a "negative behavior of the authorities" that the number of these individuals is not being disclosed.

“It is clear, isn’t it, that Azerbaijan has that number? Azerbaijan can account for the bodies of our countrymen and know how many victims we have suffered. They also know the number of captives in their possession. So, who are we keeping the secret from? From Azerbaijan? They have that information. If we keep that number secret from our compatriots, naturally, everyone can think whatever they want in their imagination. The rumors circulating that some of our compatriots have been sent to Turkey as organ donors lead to such beliefs,” he stated. He also mentioned that he personally applied as a lawyer to obtain that number and was denied.

“I will contest this in court. I will do everything to ensure that this number becomes accessible to the public,” the President of the Chamber of Advocates announced.
