In Front of the 'Broken Basin': Directed Towards Military Personnel - 'Pats'
A group of parents and relatives of soldiers who went missing during the war in Artsakh between September and November last year traveled to Artsakh to find their sons, friends, and relatives. During this time, reports emerged in the media indicating that, due to the lack of proper responses from officials, they had physically assaulted several high-ranking military personnel in Artsakh.
According to information from 'Pats' newspaper, the reason is that during a meeting with the families searching for their children, Artsakh President Araik Harutyunyan told them that he had no connection to the matter, adding, 'either me or this table,' and directed them towards military officials.
Our source from Artsakh reported that Harutyunyan mentioned he also shares their pain, but believes it is necessary to seek answers from the soldiers, commanders of their sons, stating 'from commanders all the way down to the lowest-ranking officers.'
This has already led to searches for various officers and threats, carried out under the silent indifference of Artsakh's security forces. According to the newspaper, currently, citizens who have lost their sons see their primary targets for their struggle as Nikol Pashinyan and Araik Harutyunyan; however, they fundamentally refrain from conducting their struggle with the assistance or collaboration of other political forces.
