Two Fires Erupt Near Stepanakert in Forested Areas
The 911 emergency call center of the Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs registered two incidents today involving fires that broke out in forested areas near Stepanakert due to citizen negligence. This information was provided by the Artsakh Emergency Situations Service.
Firefighters were dispatched to the sites by two combat units of the rescue forces, and they managed to extinguish the flames using preventive technical measures. The extent of damage is being assessed, and there have been no reported injuries.
The state emergency service urges and warns: “Dear compatriots, with the rise in temperatures, the number of fires in Artsakh has increased. To prevent possible dangerous phenomena, regardless of weather conditions, please refrain from lighting fires in forested or grassy areas, exercise caution, and try to reduce the risks of disasters.”
