Fire Erupted in Lori Province Yesterday Extinguished Today

On February 12, at 08:30, two operational groups from the Lori Regional Rescue Department and two firefighting units were dispatched to the "Karindzsar" hillside near the village of Karinj, as reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It was determined that the fire covered an area of about 55 hectares, including 2.5 hectares of forested area with shrubs and approximately 52.5 hectares of dry grassland.

Firefighting efforts involved 20 employees from the "Hayantar" State Non-Commercial Organization's "Lalvari Forest Enterprise" branch and 15 residents of the village of Karinj. The fire was contained by 13:30 and extinguished by 17:15.

It should be noted that an alarm was received on February 11 at 16:35 at the Lori Regional Crisis Management Center indicating that a fire had broken out on the "Karindzsar" hillside in the village of Karinj.
