One of the participants in the protest told reporters, "When we say the government is inactive, we are not emphasizing that point lightly. On November 23, after the war, Harutyun Karakhanyan called, saying that X number of children are in a certain situation, the kids are calling, they are creating connections, saying they are here, asking for help. There is no help; from that group of kids, about 30 bodies were handed over to us later, freshly killed. You probably haven't seen those bodies; they were returned with shrouds around their necks."

He emphasized that if this leadership had taken action, today those children could be alive and at home. "The Turks found them, shot them, killed them, brought them back, saying take your children."

"I had said that a professional, smart scout could enter the forest and retrieve those 30 children. We had also given information about the scout; he was not allowed. We found the scout, told him that this person is ready to go into the forest with everything he has and live there for a week; this person could have done it, but they didn't let him," he said.
