Demands for the Dismissal of Armen Grigoryan: Who Stands by Him?

Demands for the Dismissal of Armen Grigoryan: Who Stands by Him?

According to the newspaper's information, a group of deputies from the ‘My Step’ faction in the National Assembly are actively defending Armen Grigoryan, the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, to prevent Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan from dismissing him from his position.

Well-informed sources report that following the conclusion of the 44-day war, many members of the ruling faction demanded Grigoryan's dismissal; however, a segment of the faction with a grant-funded past has protested behind the scenes, stating that if such a move were to occur, they would leave the faction in protest.

Notable supporters of Grigoryan, who has a grant-funded history, include Mary Galstyan from the ‘Eratto’ group, Maria Karapetyan, Lena Nazaryan, Sos Avetisyan, Taguhi Ghazaryan, Sarkis Khandanyan, Arthur Hovhannisyan, Suren Grigoryan, Arusyak Julhakyan, Heriknaz Tigranyan, and others.

Thus, as a result of this protest, the political authorities have retreated and have not taken any further steps. Interestingly, our governmental sources indicate that it seems these deputies have formed a separate faction within the main faction; they often make unified decisions on many issues and present them to the faction as a final outcome, with an intriguing pattern that all decisions are implemented.

Yesterday, the ‘Zhoghovurd’ newspaper attempted to discuss these issues with Sos Avetisyan and Mary Galstyan, but both categorically refused to answer our questions. Previously, those who fought for human rights, freedom of speech, and other values through grants have drastically changed their stance after becoming deputies.

This is reported by the ‘Zhoghovurd’ newspaper.
