Who Forced the Resignation? "Hraparak"
Weeks ago, new details emerged regarding the resignation of Tigran Petrosyan, who was recently relieved of his duties as the governor of Shirak province. The newspaper previously reported that the former governor succumbed to public pressure after the signing of the capitulation document on November 9, following which 62 individuals from Armenia were taken captive by Azerbaijan, all from Shirak province.
The parents, relatives, and friends of the captives continuously pressured the governor, frequently visiting the city hall and his home, which ultimately led to his decision to resign.
According to reports, a key reason behind Tigran Petrosyan's resignation was his wife. She was subjected to intense pressure from their surroundings and reportedly persuaded her husband to resign, stating that she did not want to live with a representative of the government that had "handed over the homeland to the Turks" and that she was unable to go out on the streets.
The husband acquiesced to her wishes. Yesterday, Petrosyan told our reporter that he would soon discuss the reasons for his resignation during an upcoming press conference. "As for family discussions, no one can know about them," he stated in response to a question about whether it was true that he wrote his resignation at his wife's urging.
This was reported by the newspaper "Hraparak."
