Former Entrepreneurs in Areas Under Azerbaijani Control to Be Exempt from Tax Obligations
In Artsakh, it is planned to exempt entrepreneurs from unpaid tax and other mandatory payments who operated in communities that passed under Azerbaijani control due to the war. This was reported in an interview with Armenpress by Armine Musayelyan, the deputy chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Artsakh.
"A draft law has been developed and passed its first reading in the National Assembly, according to which trade organizations and individual entrepreneurs that have legitimately operated in Artsakh communities under Azerbaijani control will be exempt from unpaid tax and other mandatory payments (except for social security and excise duties) obligations. The advance payments and minimum income tax for 2020 made by these entrepreneurs will be credited and/or returned," said Armine Musayelyan, adding that the draft law provides for the crediting or simultaneous crediting and return of the tax debt of trade organizations and individual entrepreneurs operating in communities under Azerbaijani control through chamber review.
Additionally, the proposed bill in the National Assembly aims to also exempt these entrepreneurs from tax obligations on pending debts (excluding social payments and excise duties) that are subject to legally binding court rulings. It is also planned to credit and/or return the advance payments and minimum income tax for 2020. The tax authority's database will automatically zero out the remaining inventories of goods purchased for resale reflected in submitted accounting reports, information, and other documents.
