Inspections at Yerevan Municipality: Comments from City Hall on the Results
According to information from Haykakan Jamanak, the State Oversight Service of Armenia is conducting inspections at the Yerevan Municipality. The information was confirmed in a conversation with the media by the assistant to the head of the Oversight Service, Spokesperson David Danielyan. He stated that the inspections began in December, and it is still unknown when they will be completed.
To the question of whether any violations have been identified, Danielyan responded, "We cannot announce anything yet; we will make a statement once the inspections are completed." It should be noted that according to the law, the Oversight Service conducts examinations to monitor the implementation of government decisions, instructions from the Prime Minister, government operational programs, including anti-corruption programs and measures, and regarding the legality and efficiency of their activities, as well as the management and formation efficiency and legality of state resources.
Furthermore, local self-government bodies conduct examinations to assess the reliability of information that serves as a basis for the allocation of state resources.
In an interview with Sputnik Armenia, the spokesperson for the Mayor of Yerevan, Hakob Karapetyan, commented on the information, stating that the State Oversight Service is currently conducting inspections at the Municipality. "Inspections from various state oversight agencies, including the Oversight Service, take place regularly at the Yerevan Municipality. There is nothing extraordinary happening," Karapetyan said.
