Important Personnel Decision: Araik Harutyunyan's Announcement

“Dear compatriots,

Today I have presented the candidacy of Gurgen Nersisyan for the position of the Chief Prosecutor of the Republic of Artsakh to the National Assembly. I consider this an important personnel decision, given the crucial role of the Chief Prosecutor in ensuring the effective operation of the law enforcement system.

Taking into account Gurgen Nersisyan's extensive experience, including more than 12 years in prosecution and 5 years in academic and pedagogical work, his professional and personal qualities, as well as his dedicated and principled approaches to solving existing issues and his significant contributions to documenting war crimes committed by Azerbaijan in 2016 and 2020, I am confident that if elected by the National Assembly, he will ensure tangible reforms in the law enforcement system and will be able to elevate criminal justice to a new qualitative level.”
