Larsi Closed for Trucks Due to Avalanche Danger; Approximately 370 Trucks Stuck on the Russian Side

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads within the territory of Armenia. The Vardenyats Pass is impassable for trucks with trailers, but accessible for all other vehicles. The roads leading from the 'Amberd' high-altitude meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to the Amberd Fortress and to the Kari Lake are closed.

In the Gegharkunik region and on the Goraik-Zanger road in the Syunik region, there are patches of black ice present.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia's North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for trucks due to avalanche danger. However, it is passable for all other vehicles. There are approximately 370 trucks stuck on the Russian side.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
