Our Soldiers Have Quietly and Shamefully Withdrawn Near the Village of Nerk'in Khndzoresk: Military Expert
Every week, new information is received that we have ceded our positions near another settlement to the Azerbaijanis. Military expert Karen Vrtanesyan, coordinator of Razm.info, stated this at a press conference today, February 6.
“Yesterday, our positions were withdrawn near the village of Nerk'in Khndzoresk. Moreover, the authorities initially called this an outrageous lie, misinformation, and then, mumbling, they remembered the GPS. We learned that the Armenian outpost had been withdrawn from there; the Azerbaijanis presented an ultimatum to retreat by a certain time, and the soldiers quietly and shamefully withdrew, worsening the defensive situation of that village. This means that if the situation escalates, all those villages will be emptied because they will all be under the control of the enemy,” Vrtanesyan said.
Addressing the issue of the return of prisoners, the military expert noted that Ilham Aliyev sees this issue as a convenient lever to exert pressure on Armenia and will constantly try to capture new prisoners. “Azerbaijan has taken 62 prisoners since the ceasefire agreement, and until today, there is no explanation of the circumstances of their capture or how their comrades-in-arms were killed. It is clear that the enemy uses this as a bargaining chip, and Nikol Pashinyan uses it against his own people,” he added.
