Robert Kocharyan Returns to Big Politics: Sputnik Armenia

The second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, announced in an interview with Sputnik Armenia that he is returning to big politics. According to Kocharyan, there is now a significant need for "understandable and strong individuals." Thus, the new parliamentary elections will be bipolar, between the current government and its adversaries.

“People have tasted the fruits of populism, experienced the results of colored revolutions and the work of inexperienced individuals,” Kocharyan said, adding, “The pendulum has swung in the opposite direction, and now we need entirely different characters, completely different teams—a team of professional leaders, people with willpower who are capable of telling the truth while looking their opponents in the eye. And there is such a team in Armenia,” Kocharyan stated.
