Nikol Pashinyan Meets with Kyrgyz Prime Minister: Discussion Highlights Revealed
During a working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Kyrgyzstan's newly appointed Prime Minister Ulukbek Maripov on the morning of February 5. Pashinyan congratulated Maripov on his appointment to the high position of Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan and wished him successful work.
The Prime Minister noted that Armenia and Kyrgyzstan have close cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats, within the framework of integration associations, and Armenia is interested in deepening partner relations.
The Kyrgyz Prime Minister expressed gratitude to his Armenian counterpart for the high evaluation and emphasized that his country attaches great importance to enhancing partnership with Armenia. According to him, the two countries are connected by traditional warm relations and should work towards deepening cooperation in areas ranging from trade and economics to culture and humanitarian sectors.
Both interlocutors highlighted the high level of political dialogue and reaffirmed their interest in deepening bilateral relations.
Pashinyan and Maripov exchanged thoughts on the development of trade and economic cooperation. In this context, they discussed the opportunities created by the reopening of transport communications in the region and the prospects for infrastructure development.
The parties exchanged information on measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic and agreed to intensify high-level mutual contacts alongside the stabilization of the epidemic situation.
