Kocharian to Travel to Moscow for Meeting with Russian Elite: Plans Revealed
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that the second meeting of opposition political leaders is being planned. The second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, is set to have various meetings with the Russian elite in Moscow before February 8, after which he will return to Armenia.
During the recent meeting of the leaders, it was discussed that concrete plans will only be drawn up after Robert Kocharian's return, and there will be a new meeting with the same composition for this purpose. It is notable that the previous meeting included former presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Robert Kocharian, the leader of the "Homeland" party Arthur Vanetsyan, Vazgen Manukyan, representative of the ARF Bureau Ishkhan Saghatelyan, and Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan.
It is only confirmed that starting from February 20, the opposition will begin active actions demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. However, while the opposition is preparing for early parliamentary elections, Nikol Pashinyan has not made any specific decisions in this regard, only hinting that there may be new elections on June 6. Even that, however, is not definitive.
