Onik Gasparyan Outraged, Cursed, Slammed the Door and Left the Room: New Details
The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports that on January 28, Armed Forces Day, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Ministry of Defense, where he met with high-ranking military leaders. This was announced in an official statement.
According to our sources in the Ministry of Defense, the meeting did not go smoothly; quite the opposite. After the main meeting, a smaller group remained in the room of one of the leaders, and Nikol Pashinyan leveled accusations against the high-ranking military personnel regarding the defeat in the war, which outraged the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Onik Gasparyan. He cursed, slammed the door, and left the room. Others followed him, persuaded him, and brought him back.
During this time, Minister Vagarshak Harutyunyan began to 'speak up' to show Pashinyan that he was in control of the situation. He started threatening that he would punish for such actions. At this point, the senior officers present intervened, indicating to him that he should sit quietly, as he had no decision-making power.
The conversation escalated to such an extent that Nikol Pashinyan took on the role of peacemaker, calming things down and smoothing over the conflict he himself had triggered. However, Pashinyan did not let this incident go unaddressed; immediately afterward, he instructed that criminal cases be opened against the military and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense. The first case pertains to weapons, currently involving Davit Galstyan, with potential future cases against other high-ranking officials in the Ministry of Defense.
