England Refuses to Sell Aircraft Carrier to Turkey
Turkey had negotiations with England last year to purchase an aircraft carrier, but London has rejected the Turkish proposal. Following this, Turkey has decided to build its own aircraft carrier, as reported by Ermenihaber.am.
According to Turkish news outlet 'Haber7,' citing 'Middle East Eye,' Ankara offered to buy either a new or previously operational aircraft carrier of the Queen Elizabeth class from London. It has been noted that the English side declined Ankara's offer, instead proposing to assist in the design of the aircraft carrier to be produced in Turkey and provide technical support.
In response to an inquiry on this matter, the UK's International Trade Ministry did not deny the existence of negotiations with Turkey but declined to provide further details regarding those specific discussions.
