Arzruni is a Very Important Character, Ruben Melikyan

Human rights defender Ruben Melikyan writes on his Facebook page: "Arzruni is a very important character. He embodies both the most critical mistakes of pre-2018 Armenia and all the treachery and cynicism of post-2018 Armenia. He was one of those people for whom 'patriotism' was merely a means for personal gain, and his leaders unfortunately did not possess the foresight to prevent this 'parachutist' from entering the vast oceans of false patriotism. They created the empty and unprincipled positive recognition of this flatterer. They failed to distinguish the wet from the dry, and the wheat from the chaff; hence, they gave birth to Arzruni and many other little-known Arzruni figures among the public.

As for the entire post-2018 splendor and misery of Armenia, it can be summed up in a phrase of that emptiness: 'unfortunately, we did not win.' As if to say, 'unfortunately'... He said it and moved on. 'Well, now, it was just a slight misfortune - who doesn’t have mishaps?' perhaps thought that money-hungry cynic."
