Almost 120 tons of Azerbaijani tomatoes barred from entering the Russian market
Almost 120 tons of fresh Azerbaijani tomatoes have been barred from entering the Russian market. Azerbaijani media report this, citing the Rospotrebnadzor.
In January 2021, inspectors checked 49 thousand tons of agricultural products. “As a result of the inspections, it was found that 7 batches of goods from Azerbaijan and one batch of goods from Iran were infected with quarantine pests. The import of these unsafe products into Russia has been banned,” stated a declaration from Rospotrebnadzor.
The total volume of products that did not reach the Russian market in January 2021 amounted to more than 173 tons.
