Who Can Benefit from Tbilisi-Yerevan Flights
From February 1, Georgia has resumed regular flights. In connection with this, airlines have published the routes that people in Georgia can use. This was reported by aliq.ge.
For example, the airline 'Georgian Airways' has included Yerevan in this list. In this regard, Aliq Media spoke with the spokesperson of the Georgian government, who clarified who can benefit from these flights.
According to government information, there are no new regulations regarding entry into Georgia from Armenia, either by air or land, as Georgia has not opened its borders for Armenia.
In terms of special conditions, citizens of Armenia can be transported on the above-mentioned flights from Georgia to Armenia (and thus also from Armenia to Georgia, citizens of Georgia). It is also permitted for individuals with dual citizenship of Georgia and Armenia (whose citizenship is officially maintained in both Georgia and Armenia) to travel.
Neither by air nor land is it allowed for Georgian citizens and those with residence rights to cross the Georgian border. If all conditions are met, Georgia does not require any documents from a citizen traveling to Armenia. The government has indicated that the airline may have additional requirements, which should be clarified directly with the airline.
As for Armenia, presenting a negative COVID-19 test done no later than 72 hours before entering the country is mandatory.
It should be noted that Georgia will allow entry to all foreign nationals who have completed the full course of COVID-19 vaccination, i.e., two doses.
