Statement by Davit Galstyan (Patron Davit)

In a video statement published yesterday by the National Security Service of Armenia, I am being accused of a serious crime in connection with a criminal case. Considering the fact that the information contained in the criminal case includes not only pre-trial but also state secrets, we refrain from publicly presenting a series of details regarding the criminal case at this time, as their disclosure would reveal the true motives behind initiating the criminal case and presenting charges against me.

However, without stepping outside the framework of the information disclosed by the pre-trial investigation bodies, we will address at least one significant aspect among the accusations presented, which I believe was implemented to create greater concern among the public and ensure an emotional state. According to the statement, the product supplied by our company to the Ministry of Defense of Armenia was, contrary to the conditions stipulated in the contract, manufactured in 1977. We find that such a claim can have two reasons. Either the pre-trial body has not demonstrated sufficient professionalism and has not provided a correct assessment based on the analysis of the data present in the case—wherein the year 1977 is actually the starting date of serial production for this type of ammunition, and not the manufacturing date of the supplied product—or there has been an attempt to create an illusion that ammunition produced in the 1970s has been fraudulently supplied to the armed forces through a blatant distortion of reality.

We state that, in fact, the ammunition supplied was produced according to the types and dates stipulated in the contract, and we will later disclose evidence supporting this and all other factual data.

As we mentioned, we will refrain at this stage of the investigation from publicly presenting further details regarding the unfounded nature of the criminal case, and we will address them after the court considers the petition regarding my arrest.
