RA Embassy Confirms 168.am's Report: Minister Was in an Intoxicated State
168.am reported that from January 22-26, RA Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan and his delegation were scheduled to visit the "Mihan" dairy production facility in Iran on the initiative of the Iranian side, to familiarize themselves with one of Iran's giants in the dairy industry. However, the visit did not take place.
According to reliable Iranian sources cited by 168.am, the reason for the cancellation was that Minister Kerobyan and other members of the delegation had participated in a feast the previous night, resulting in the minister being in an intoxicated state the following morning, essentially suffering from alcohol poisoning.
The management of the "Mihan" company waited for one hour for the Armenian delegation to arrive, after which they were informed by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the visit would not happen due to the minister's condition.
Today, the RA Embassy in Iran confirmed the information regarding Minister Kerobyan's delegation's visit to Iran, of course, without mentioning the reasons. "As for the dairy production company 'Mihan', we regret that the visit did not take place (the Iranian side was informed in advance about the cancellation), but we feel it is necessary to mention that the RA ambassador plans to visit the aforementioned company in the coming days to discuss issues related to economic activities in Armenia," the embassy's statement reads.
