Road Closed Due to Rock Blasting and Landslide Work; No Detour Available, Ministry of Emergency Situations

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed and impassable roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia. The Vardenyats Pass is impassable for vehicles with trailers but open for all other vehicles. The roads from the 'Amberd' High Mountain Meteorological Station in Aragatsotn Province to the Amberd Fortress and to the Kari Lake are closed.

In the Gegharkunik and Syunik provinces, there are areas of black ice on the roads.

On February 2 and 3, from 14:00 to 18:00, the section of the interstate road Vanadzor-Alaverdy-Georgian border (M-6) at Akhtala-Nakhots will be closed due to rock blasting and landslide work. No detour is being provided for traffic.
