Armenian-Belarusian Company to Focus on Elevator Production: New Discussions in the National Assembly

During a meeting with the Ambassador of Belarus to Armenia, Alexander Konyuk, the Chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration, Mikayel Melkumyan, proposed the establishment of a joint Armenian-Belarusian company that would focus on elevator production. The information was reported by the press service of the National Assembly.

Melkumyan emphasized the importance of cooperation with Belarus within the framework of the EAEU, particularly regarding joint efforts to present a unified approach on gas pricing issues. He also congratulated the Belarusian people on the commissioning of the new Ostrovets nuclear power plant, highlighting the role of the staff at the Metsamor nuclear power plant, especially in the operation of the turbine production department.

Discussions about the joint Armenian-Belarusian factory began in March 2020.
