Turkey to Conduct Military Exercises in Kars with Azerbaijani Military Participation Starting Today
From February 1 to 12, Turkey will conduct military exercises in Kars, near the Armenian border, which will also involve Azerbaijani military forces. According to Turkish media reports, new weapons will be tested during the exercises.
Turkey and Azerbaijan last held joint military drills in July, just weeks after clashes broke out along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Those large-scale exercises took place across Azerbaijan, including in Nakhchivan, Baku, and Ganja, with participation from both countries' ground forces and air force units.
Some sources claim that following those exercises, Turkey left a significant portion of its military equipment and formations in Azerbaijan to coordinate offensive operations against Nagorno-Karabakh.
